About the Peter Hess Method
At the crossroad between ancient knowledge and science, Peter Hess Sound Massage is a scientifically proven method of sound therapy developed by Peter Hess.
In the early ’80s, during a travel in Nepal, Peter Hess observed the importance of sound in traditional medical treatments amongst the « Newars », the most ancient ethnic group of the Katmandou Valley.
From that point, the German physist and pioneer in this field began to study the effect of sound and traditional music on the mind, the body and the spirit of people.
Based on years of research and practice, working in collaboration with university institutes and diverse research centers, Peter Hess adapted the traditional knowledge to the reality and the needs of Westerners of nowadays.

Since then, the Peter Hess Institute (PHI®) has grown, training a great number of certified practicioners. And more than 20 Peter Hess Academies exist today, not only in Europa but all around the world.

Is the Peter Hess Sound Massage a medical treatment ?
The Peter Hess Sound Massage is a powerful tool for relaxation and can constitute a very interesting complementary approach to medical cares. But under no circumstances can it replace a medical or psychotherapeutic treatment.
