What will we do ?
We will start the day with an introductory conversation about medicinal plants and the herbalist’s work.
We will ask ourselves what are, exactly, medicinal plants, how we can use them and what really does an herbalist.

We will then go on a tour of the medicinal garden, where the children will be introduced to various local medicinal plants.
We are going to observe, touch, smell, taste... connect with the vegetal world. And, of course, we will learn in an interactive and playful way how and in which situations we can use these plants in our daily lives !
We will also speak about some local poisonous plants, about the importance of a correct identification and we will lay out some rules to respect for a safe use of the plants.

Finally, we will conclude the day with a delicious healthy snack, a fresh drink and a joyful free playtime!
What will the children learn ?
Through these activities, the children will learn what are medicinal plants, when and how they can be used and what is the work of an herbalist.
Meeting in person a series of medicinal plants, learning about how and in which situations they could use them and experiencing directly the process of a plants transformation will offer them practical knowledge, but this will also give them a sense of what resilience and self-reliance can be.
In addition, learning about the local flora will lead them to a better knowledge and understanding of the environment in which they live, bringing them to connect with the plants that surround them and contributing to strengthen their relationship with nature.
At the end of the day, each kid will return home with his own bug bite balm and a heart full of love for the magic of plants!
